  • After an overwhelming response pan India, we have generated interest from 100+ verified engineers and architects open for auction and 8 teams fighting to acquire the most optimal talent out of a purse value of 1Cr each.
  • Each player is verified and calibrated by our expert panel led by a reputed jury in 1 of the 4 Slabs:
    • A (Base price 6 lac)
    • B (Base price 5 lac)
    • C (Base price 3 lac)
    • D (Base price 2 lac)
  • Teams will be divided into 2 pools (Pool McEnroe & Pool Borg) where they will compete for the top 2 spots (out of 4) in a round-robin fight with the other three teams. This would be followed by a cross pool Semi-final and Final to declare EPTL 22 winner.
  • 2 Teams will have the best of 3 doubles matches among themselves to be declared as a match winner in the below
    • Titans Match - Team1(AA/AB/BB) vs Team2(AA/AB/BB)
    • Underdogs Match - Team1(CC/CD/DD) vs Team2(CC/CD/DD)
    • David & Goliath Match - Team1(AC/AD/BC/BD) vs Team2(AC/AD/BC/BD)
    • D (Base price 2 lac)
  • Out of the auction, A team has to pick:
    • At least 1 and at most 2 players from slab A
    • At least 1 and at most 2 players from slab B
    • Minimum 2 players from slab C
    • Minimum 2 players from slab D
  • During the auction, Player Screen Cards in alphabetical order will be displayed on the big screen for players in slab A followed by slab B, C, and D. There will be no re-runs for players left out. At max one team owner can retain himself as a player in his team at 1.5x the base price.
  • Player Screen Card would display:
    • Name and Picture (Its true, a picture is worth 1000 words)
    • Players self-stated achievements (Be aware there might be some gems who have not submitted entire info due to time paucity)
    • Players' DOB (Remember, Age is just a number)
    • Players College (Stereotyping can be dangerous)

Rules and Format of the open doubles EPTL 2022 tournament

  • Open doubles consist of 2 age categories
    • Combined age below 100
    • Combined age above 100
  • Each match till the Quarter-Finals will be a best of 17 games (Race to 9 games)
  • If the match is tied at 8 games each, a tiebreak shall played in place of the 17th game.
  • Semi-Final and Final matches will be best of 3 sets, the 3rd set being a super tie-break.
  • '*Notes:
    • All Players are requested to be present for the opening wremony at Jai Club at 3 pm on 15th December. The schedule will be released on the same day. Players must register their presence 15 minutes before their scheduled games as and when informed to avoid a walkover.
    • Matches will continue from 15th December to 18th December when finals will be played. 18th December will also witness the award ceremony followed by a cocktail party and dinner.
    • Organizers reserve the right to change in schedule due to any unforeseeable contingencies
